London-Lund Corpus,Survey of English Usage,the Birmingham Corpus of English Texts 并把英语中感谢的最基本形式Thank you/thanks的主要作用概括如下:(Thank you/thanks是最基本的词语,在此基础上可以进行增补和加强,以显得更礼貌,如:“Thank you very much indeed”,“Thanks ever so”)

  承认得到好处;

  递给自己东西,认可得到好处;

  提前表达感谢(如服务,主动提供,许诺等);

  不再需要某人或某人的服务;

  接受会话结束的标志(特别是电话中);

  会话结束(e.g.Eisenstein & Bodman,1986;1993);

  接受主动提供;

  结合不同的音调,可以表示懊恼,讥讽,挖苦和唐突无礼(e.g.Eisenstein & Bodman,1986;1993;Okamoto & Robinson,1997);

如:“Thank you for not smoking”――请求听话者不要抽烟。 (根据Aijmer(1996)整理)

  Conductor:Thank you.(递票时)

  Passenger:Thank you.(接过票时)

  Conductor:Thank you.(结束对话)

  (1)A:Thank you so much. B:That’s all right.

  A:Thanks a lot. B:Not at all.

  (2)A:Excuse me please. B:That’s all right.

  A:I’m sorry. B:Not at all.

  (Coulmas,1981:72)

No, No;Just so so;Not good.

之后加 all the same, just the same, anyway之类的话。

Thank you.

  Gratitude Is...

  Written by Macatena Lovemore

  感谢我爱的人和爱我的人,使我的生命不再孤单;

  Gratitude is appreciation for people, places, and things,

  感恩是一种欣赏,一种对人,对景、对物的欣赏;

  as well as, for ideas, qualities, and feelings

  Gratitude is thankfulness, and I use it like a key

  A key to inspire strangers, my friends, and me

  A key to life that sets me free

  A key to heal insult and injury

  To be grateful means you are thankful for and appreciative of what you have and where you are on your path right now. Gratitude fills your heart with the joyful feeling and allows you to fully appreciate everything that arises on your path. As you strive to keep your focus on the present moment, you can experience the full wonder of “here.”

  There are many ways to cultivate gratitude. Here are just a few suggestions you may wish to try:

  1. Imagine what your life would be like if you lost all that you had. This will most surely remind you of how much you do appreciate it.

  2. Make a list each day of all that you are grateful for, so that you can stay conscious daily of your blessings.

  Do this especially when you are feeling as though you have nothing to feel grateful for. Or spend a few minutes before you go to sleep giving thanks for all that you have.

  3. Spend time offering assistance to those who are less fortunate than you, so that you may gain perspective. However you choose to learn gratitude is irrelevant. What really matters is that you create a space in your consciousness for appreciation for all that you have right now, so that you may live more joyously in your present moment.
